Bode is located at the northeastern end of Cacimba beach and offers surfers a quieter alternative to the busier spots. It’s a surf spot that can catch some nice peaks, especially with smaller broken-up swells at mid tides. This area is a bit off the main path, making it a decent spot to check out when you want to avoid the crowded lineups.
This spot really shines when the swell is coming from the NorthEast, giving you some solid right-hand tunnels that can provide a good ride over an uneven reef. It can handle swell sizes around 2ft (0.6m) quite well and can break on both sand and reef. Lefts and rights are both in play, appealing to different riding styles. While it’s not the most forgiving spot, beginners can manage when the waves are small, but it’s good to be cautious and know your limits.
For the best conditions, you'll want to look for a SouthEast wind. Bode works well at low, mid, and high tide, making it versatile throughout the day. It’s definitely worth a look if you’re after a less hectic surfing experience than you’ll find at Cacimba.
