Bolinas Jetty throws lefts over sand on the west side of the Bolinas Lagoon mouth. It sits well sheltered from big winter swells, so the jetty really comes alive when a clean south pulse rolls through.
When It Works
The break draws swell from the south through west, with south (S) swell the best match. It works from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft and is moderately consistent, so the good windows tend to come and go rather than showing up every session.
Wind and Tide
Look for north (N) offshore wind to clean up the faces. Mid tide is the pick here, and a rising tide is generally the better call.
Local Tips
This one suits intermediate surfers. Expect a busy lineup with protective locals when it turns on, and keep in mind the area sees sharks, so surf it with that in mind.
Access
Parking is free but limited, so plan on arriving early to find a spot.
