Overview
Cabo Pasado is an uneven-reef break that peels both left and right, sitting well offshore from Canoa. It's a recent discovery, and on the right day it can serve up perfect, crystal-clear barrels.
When It Works
The reef pulls in swell from west to north (W-N), with a northwest (NW) swell the best match. It works from 0.9 m / 3 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft, and a NW to W swell paired with light wind is what turns on those clean barrels. Consistency is moderate, so timing your window matters.
Wind and Tide
Look for a southeast (SE) offshore wind to smooth things out. The reef can work across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is an intermediate wave, and the lineup stays fairly quiet when it's on.
Access
Getting out here is boat-only, a long trip from Canoa to a reef that sits way offshore. Go with a local guide who knows the break.
