Cherry Hill is a long, white sand beach break, with a good left peeling off one end. Waves break over sand and run both left and right, giving you an easygoing, open stretch to pick a peak.
When It Works
It's at its best on a northeast swell, and it draws swell from anywhere between southwest, through north, to northeast. The beach is usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft. When you're after size, Western Head holds the biggest waves along this stretch.
Wind and Tide
Look for northwest offshore wind to groom the faces. The beach can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
