Ciammarita is a sandy beachbreak with several A-frame peaks scattered along the bay, sending lefts down clean, uncrowded water.
When It Works
The bay draws swell from northwest to north and gets the most out of the frequent NW swells that roll through, with northwest (NW) the best direction. It's usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft. The peaks hold their shape well enough that you can still find a wave in moderate onshore conditions.
Wind and Tide
Look for southeast (SE) offshore wind to clean things up. The banks work across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The waves suit intermediate surfers, and you can usually expect an uncrowded lineup.
Access
There's free parking at the beach. To get here, leave the Palermo–Trapani highway at Castellamare del Golfo and follow signs to Trapetto village and Spiaggia di Ciammarita.
