Conset Point is a rarely surfed, mysto right-hand reef that stays quiet until a serious swell wakes it up. When it does turn on, it can get classic, but it takes the right setup to break at its best.
When It Works
The reef draws swell from north through east-northeast to southeast (N-ENE-SE), and it comes together best on a southeast (SE) swell. It's a right-hander that peels over an uneven reef, so the bottom isn't uniform. Size-wise it works from 1.2 m / 4 ft to 3.7 m / 12 ft, needing enough push to get going before it starts to max out at the top of that range.
Wind and Tide
Look for a southwest (SW) offshore wind to clean up the face. The reef can work across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
