Corto Circuito surf guide

Corto Circuito is a surf spot located at the end of a dirt road, which means you’ll need a 4x4 to get there. It's a bit of a trek, but the wave can be worth the effort. This place isn't too crowded, making it a decent option for those looking to escape the busier surf spots. Just keep in mind that it’s more suitable for intermediate surfers due to its challenging conditions.

The surf at Corto Circuito features a heaving tube over an outside slab at the point. When the conditions are right, the wave quickly turns into a long, slashable wall that leads to some fun inside bricks. It works best with a south swell, particularly from the southeast or west, and handles swell sizes around 4ft (1.2 meters). The wave breaks over an uneven reef and typically peels to the right. Low tide is the best time to surf here, and the preferred wind direction is from the north.

Accessing Corto Circuito requires some effort, but once you’re there, you can enjoy a powerful wave that often has good potential. Just remember it's not a place for beginners, so you should have some experience under your belt before paddling out. With the right conditions, it can be a fun spot to surf and help you improve your skills.
