English Harbor is a surf spot located on the southern edge of a main reef pass. It sees some consistent surf action, especially from April to September, making it a go-to spot for those looking to catch some waves. The transport links to reach English Harbor are pretty limited, so expect fewer crowds out in the water compared to more accessible spots.

The waves here can be fun and challenging. The left break is long and fast, primarily working best with southwest (SW) swells. You can also get some decent right-handers across the channel during winter northwest (NW) swells. It's worth noting that the spot handles swell sizes from 2 ft (about 0.6 meters) up to much larger, making it suitable for expert surfers looking for a thrill. The bottom is covered with friendly dead coral, which is easier on the body compared to jagged live coral that you find in many other Pacific locations. The best surfing happens at low, mid, and high tides, especially when the wind is coming from the northeast.

While the left can get pretty good, the right is less frequent and mainly breaks under specific conditions, as straight south (S) swells and due west (W) swells are rare.
