Exotics is a surf spot located at the very north end of Cambria. It's known for being a classic left-hander that isn't seen too often, making it a unique spot to check out. The break is situated around the point from Leffingwell Landing, and you can easily view it from Hwy 1. There's parking available in the lot above the break off Moonstone Beach Dr.

This spot works best with a southwest swell and high tide. It can handle swell sizes up to about 4 feet (1.2 meters), breaking over an uneven reef. The waves are mostly lefts that can get hollow and fast at times, which can be fun but also challenging if you’re not prepared. If you're planning on hitting the waves, east winds are preferable for better conditions.

When you're out there, keep in mind that it can work with swells coming from both the south and northwest. With the right conditions, Exotics can deliver some decent rides, but don't expect it to be prime all the time. Just keep an eye on the tide and swell direction to make the most of your session.
