Flag Beach surf guide

Flag Beach is a surf spot located just south of Corralejo, making it a convenient choice for surfers looking for some action. It's known for its welcoming vibe and decent conditions, catering to a variety of surf levels. This beach is also the closest to town, where you can find a kite and windsurf center that rents boards if you need one.

The waves here work best on any E windswell or a big N swell, with the optimal swell direction coming from the North. It can handle swell sizes around 3ft (about 1 meter), which makes it suitable for beginners and improvers. When the NW winds blow offshore, you can find some easy cover-ups among the multiple peaks. The break is a mix of beach and uneven reef, offering left and right wave directions. It’s good to note that it works during low, mid, and high tides, so you’ll have options no matter the time of day.

If you're heading out to surf, keep in mind that the Blue Flag beach in front of the hotels prohibits surfing. There’s plenty of activity in the surrounding areas as well, so you won’t be short on entertainment when you’re off the board.
