Overview
Fly sits at the bottom of the stretch that runs down through Serewah Bay to the harbour and rivermouth at Labuhan Lalar. It breaks over uneven reef and sand on a reefy beach, with a right-hand triangle and a few easy peaks spread along its length, so you'll find both lefts and rights here.
When It Works
The break draws swell from the south to southwest (S-SW), and a southwest swell is the best match. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft. Consistency is a bit hit and miss, so plan on catching it on the right day rather than counting on it any time.
Wind and Tide
Look for a southeast offshore wind. The spot can work across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is a friendly spot for beginners and a handy place for improvers to slip away when the swell is up elsewhere. The lineup tends to stay fairly quiet. Just be ready for the flies drawn to the drying fish and the nearby polluted river.
