Foxhill Point is a reef peak that breaks over boulders and comes to life at high tide. Take-offs drop into a nice bowl, and the wave delivers fun, punchy rides in the waist- to head-high range, peeling as both lefts and rights.
When It Works
The peak draws swell from northeast to southeast (NE-SE). A southeast swell lines up the lefts, while a northeast swell favours the rights, and both ease off in size as you ride down the line. It works from 0.9 m / 3 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft.
Wind and Tide
This is a high-tide break, so plan your session around high tide and expect it to get better as the water fills in, with a rising tide the stronger call. For wind, anything carrying a hint of west works, and a straight west (W) offshore grooms it best.
Local Tips
Foxhill tends to get crowded, so expect plenty of company in the lineup when it turns on.
Access
Parking is restricted and spaces are almost impossible to come by. Cars have been towed here, even in the depths of winter, so sort out somewhere to leave yours before you paddle out.
