Harry’s Surf Forecast Guide

Overview

Harry's is a heavy, expert-only right-hand reef break that peels around a reef corner over shallow live coral. The wave is extremely hollow, very fast, and powerful, and getting caught inside is a bad experience.

When It Works

The reef pulls in swell from south through west-southwest to northwest (S-WSW-NW), and it lines up best on a northwest (NW) swell. It works from 1.2 m / 4 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft. Consistency is moderate, so count on worthwhile windows when the setup lines up rather than waves on tap.

Wind and Tide

Look for northeast (NE) offshore wind. It breaks on mid and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.

This one is strictly for experts. The lineup tends to stay fairly quiet, and out here more than a handful of surfers already counts as a crowd.
