Harry’s surf guide

Harry's is a surf spot that's well-known among experienced surfers. It's accessible only by boat through the South Passage, which adds to its remoteness. Surfing here is not for the faint-hearted, as it can get pretty heavy and challenging. The wave itself is powerful and breaks over shallow live coral, so it's essential to be cautious out there.

The surf at Harry's is typically best with a Northwest swell, and it can handle swell sizes around 4 feet (about 1.2 meters). You’ll find a fast and hollow right-hand reef wave that peels around the corner. The optimal wind direction is from the Northeast, and the best tides to surf this spot are during mid to high. Make sure you're an expert before you hit the water, as the conditions can get intense.

While Harry's has moderate consistency, it can get crowded when more than a handful of surfers show up. So, if you’re planning to surf here, be prepared for that. Overall, it’s a spot that’s not for everyone but can deliver excellent waves for those who know what they're doing.
