When It Works
The point draws swell from northeast through southeast (NE-SE), with east (E) swell the best match. It works from 0.9 m / 3 ft to 3.7 m / 12 ft and is moderately consistent. Any moderate east swell paired with lower tides sets up shorter rides, but often with a bit more push. The open beachbreaks nearby can turn punchy and hollow when they fire.
Wind and Tide
Look for a southwest (SW) offshore wind, though the point's shelter from south winds keeps it surfable when the breeze swings around. It breaks at low and mid tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is a solid intermediate wave, giving surfers of that level a chance to pick off a few peelers over the rocky shelf. Expect a moderately busy lineup when it's on.
