Heisaura is a five-kilometre crescent of sand facing southwest, with a choice of peaks that shift depending on the swell and wind. One of the breaks, Tomoe, has some rock that helps anchor the sandbars. It picks up the same swell as Kanagawa and is one of the go-to points in Chiba when the wind swings out of the north.
When It Works
This is a beach break over sand, throwing both lefts and rights. It draws swell from southwest through southeast, with a south swell the best match, and it needs southerly energy to really switch on. It works from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft and is moderately consistent. With so much beach to work with, you can move around and hunt down the peak that suits the day's swell and wind.
Wind and Tide
Look for a northeast offshore wind to clean things up. The sandbars are best at low to mid tide, with a rising tide generally the better call. The whole stretch struggles at high tide unless the swell is big.
Local Tips
It is a beginner-friendly setup, so it is an easy place to find a wave. Expect a busy lineup when it comes together, as this tends to be where most surfers end up when the conditions point here. The crowds do thin out as you walk away from the few parking spots.

There are restrooms and showers on hand. For parking you have a car park with free spaces, plus paid and roadside options.
