Hoddevika is a Stadlandet beachbreak, with a more dominant right called Peach that sets up just inside the jetty at the north end. Steep mountains ring the bay and give it good wind protection. It is highly consistent, though the waves usually run smaller than nearby Ervik.
When It Works
Hoddevika works best in southwest to west swells. It draws swell from southwest through northwest (SW-NW), with west the best match. Waves peel both left and right over a mix of boulders and sand, and the spot is usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 3 m / 10 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for east offshore wind, helped along by the sheltering mountains around the bay. It breaks on low and mid tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.

Access
A surf camp sits within walking distance of the beach and covers the essentials, with restrooms, showers, camping, a surf school, and a surf shop. Parking is free.
