Inubosaki Lighthouse surf guide

Surf: At the N end of the Chiba peninsula is Choshi, a large fishing town with some scrappy beach and reefbreaks around the the east-facing lighthouse in low swell and wind conditions. Kimigahama is the bay to the south that attracts a moderate crowd, and there are some mellow rollers around the point towards the harbour. There are only a few access points off the clifftop coast road towards Iioka but this powerful beachbreak can produce barrels on S swells and N winds. Environment: These waves however can’t be described as ‘clean’ as this area is let down by the brown coloured water and industrial waste that frequently pollutes the beach.
