Islares is a pretty cool surf spot located at the eastern end of a large bay. It’s known for its picturesque views and laid-back vibe. You’ll usually find it not too crowded, which is a nice change from some of the more popular surf areas. While parking is generally okay, it can get a bit hectic on the busiest summer days. The beach itself has some limited facilities, but overall, it's a nice spot to spend a day surfing.

This place mainly works with a decent swell, needing a good size to really shine. The optimal swell direction is from the north, and it can handle swell sizes starting at about 1 ft (0.3 m). Surfers can catch both right and left waves here, but it's more of a righthander off the coast. The preferred wind direction is from the southwest, and it works best during low to mid tides. Intermediate surfers will find it a good match, especially when the conditions align with the occasional stormy weather and west winds.

When you're out there, keep in mind that the break is over sand, and there can be strong rips ripping through at times.
