Overview
Kirakira is the main town along this stretch of coast, and just offshore its black sand beachbreaks peel near the rivermouth over a sandy bottom. The banks throw up both lefts and rights, making for a relaxed, average beachbreak that's more of a fun option than a standout wave.
When It Works
The beachbreak picks up swell from northeast to southeast (NE-SE) and works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.5 m / 5 ft. It's somewhat inconsistent, so it pays to time your session for when the swell actually lines up.
Wind and Tide
Look for a southwest (SW) offshore wind to groom the faces. The sand can break across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.

This is a friendly wave for beginners, with room to find your feet on both the lefts and rights. The lineup stays quiet, so you can expect plenty of space to yourself.
