Overview
Kokrobite is a beachbreak that breaks over sand and serves up both lefts and rights. It tends to be consistent, so there's usually something to ride when you turn up. Off to the western side, a point picks up some rocky, sectiony rights for a change of pace from the beach peaks.
When It Works
The beach is at its best in small, peaky surf around 2-3ft, when incoming tides help cut down the close-outs. It draws swell from southwest through southeast, with south swell the best match. In terms of size it works from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft, giving you a decent window to play with once the peaks line up.
Wind and Tide
Look for northwest offshore wind to clean up the faces. Tide-wise it favours the upper half, coming in through mid tide and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call as it keeps those close-outs in check.
Local Tips
This is friendly beginner terrain, and the lineup stays fairly quiet. Expect plenty of other beginners in the water alongside a handful of locals riding homemade boards.
