Overview
La Mauvaise Grève is a left- and right-breaking reef tucked into a bay in front of the camping at Moguériec. It breaks over an uneven mix of reef and sand, and packs more power than Dossen.
When It Works
The reef draws swell from west through north (W-N), with northwest (NW) swell the best match. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft, and consistency is moderate, so it pays to time your sessions for when the swell lines up.
Wind and Tide
Look for south (S) offshore wind. The reef can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is an intermediate-friendly wave. Expect a moderately busy lineup when it's working.
Access
There's a camping right in front of the break and a car park to leave the car, plus a bar in the port. Watch out for the exposed rocks.
