Overview
La Pyramide is a rarely surfed spot that breaks over sand and peels both left and right. A few reefs nearby add extra options in a stretch of coast that hardly ever sees a surfer.
When It Works
It draws swell from south through west, with southwest the best direction. The break is usable from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft.
Wind and Tide
Onshore winds are common here, so a northeast offshore wind is what cleans it up. It can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide the better call.
Local Tips
This one is best left to expert surfers.
Access
You'll find La Pyramide beside an old derelict wharf, which helps shape better sandbanks.
