Overview
Lamno sits south of Mount Gurutee, where an uprising reef has pushed a new island out of the water. The main attraction is a right that peels off the rivermouth over sand, and there's a quality right point in the area as well.
When It Works
The rivermouth right can be fickle, but it turns on through the wet season and produces genuinely good rights when it lines up. It draws swell from the south through west, with southwest the direction that suits it best. The wave is usable from 0.9 m / 3 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft, so it wants a decent pulse to get going.
Wind and Tide
Look for northeast offshore wind to groom it. The right will break across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
