Le Lorrain is a mellow beachbreak that peels over sand, which makes it a friendly place to learn or find your feet. There are no real hazards to worry about, and it sits well away from the crowds.
When It Works
The beach draws swell from north to east, with northeast (NE) the best direction, and it stays fairly consistent through the year. Peaks offer both lefts and rights, and it is usable from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft. It can turn messy when the northeast onshores are running, so aim for cleaner wind.
Wind and Tide
Look for a southwest (SW) offshore wind to groom the faces. The beach works across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is a genuine beginner wave, and the lineup usually stays fairly quiet, so there is room to catch plenty without much jostling.
Access
Parking is easy, with free roadside spots close to the beach.
