Overview
Mada's is a short, shallow left-hand reef break in the Maldives, breaking over dead coral. It sits inside the pass and comes into its own when the swell is up.
When It Works
The reef draws swell from the southeast through south (SE-S), with southeast (SE) swell the best match. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.2 m / 4 ft. On a bigger swell it's worth ducking inside the pass for this left.
Wind and Tide
Look for northwest (NW) offshore wind. Mada's can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The short, mellow left makes it an approachable option for beginners finding their feet.
