Margam / Kenfig Sands is a stretch of average beachbreak, serving up both lefts and rights over sand. The best waves show up at the Kenfig end.
When It Works
The beach draws swell from southwest through west, with a southwest swell the best match. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 3 m / 10 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for an east offshore wind. The break works through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Access
Park at Kenfig Pools and walk in across the dunes to reach the beach. There's a car park with free parking.
