Marina di Modica serves up left and right peaks that break over sand on either side of the town's jetty. The water is clean, and the waves hold their shape even when the wind is blowing hard.
When It Works
The peaks come alive on north and northwest swells, drawing swell from west to north (W-N) with northwest (NW) the best match. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft, feeding rideable lefts and rights on both sides of the jetty.
Wind and Tide
Look for northwest (NW) offshore wind, though this break stays rideable even in strong winds. It can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
