Mirages is a right-hand point that peels over sand.
When It Works
The point draws its swell from south to southwest, and it stays rideable across a good spread of sizes, working from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.2 m / 4 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for a northwest offshore wind to clean it up. It can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
If you have the time, Foul Grounds is worth the roughly 45-minute drive: a symmetrically perfect, peeling right that rarely tops 3-4 ft (1-1.2 m) even on the biggest swells.
