Overview
Mitoma is a typical beachbreak backed by a lively surf scene and plenty of surf shops. On an average day it serves up easy lefts and rights, and when the swell builds, longer rides open up for anyone who makes it out to the back.
When It Works
Breaking over sand, Mitoma takes swell from northwest through northeast, with northeast (NE) the best match. It works from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.5 m / 5 ft, throwing up both lefts and rights. It is moderately consistent, so rideable days come around fairly often.
Wind and Tide
Look for southeast (SE) offshore wind. The beach can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The easy peaks make it a solid choice for beginners. Expect a busy lineup when it works.
Access
You will find restrooms, showers, a lifeguard, a surf school, and a surf shop, along with a car park with free parking.
