When It Works
The Point draws swell from northwest through northeast, and it lines up best on a northwest (NW) swell. It works from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft, maxing out once it pushes above 6 ft (2 m). Expect a moderately consistent right that peels along the coral rather than throwing hard.
Wind and Tide
Look for southeast (SE) offshore wind to clean it up. Different sections come to life at different stages of the tide, so it works through low, mid, and high, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
When it's small, Mona Liza Point is a friendly spot for beginners. It pulls in surfers from Manila and gets busy, especially on weekends, so expect a crowded lineup when it's on. Longboard rules apply here, so be ready to share the peak.
