One Mile surf guide

One Mile is a chill surf spot located in a beautiful secluded bay, well-known for its massive sand dunes that are perfect for bodyboarding. The beach offers a relaxed atmosphere, making it a decent place to hang out and catch some waves without too much hustle and bustle.

The surf here works best with E-SE swells and S winds, but you can also find some fun on NE swells. One Mile can handle swell sizes of around 1ft (0.3m) and serves up both left and right waves over sand. It’s a great spot for beginners and longboarders, especially when the waves are smaller. When the winds are blowing from the NE, consider walking over to Samurai Beach, which tends to be more protected and can deliver some more powerful A-frames.

The preferred conditions are during low to mid tides, and it’s advisable to hit the water when the winds are coming from the SW. This can help you score the best rides possible. It’s a nice spot for those starting out or looking for a more laid-back surf session.
