Oyambre surf guide

Oyambre is a beach located in a scenic natural park setting, surrounded by rolling hills. The long stretch of beach offers enough space for surfers to find their own spot, making it a relaxed place to ride some waves. The area is usually not crowded, allowing for an enjoyable surfing experience. Parking is easy, but keep in mind that facilities are quite limited.

The surf at Oyambre features several shifting peaks and works well at all tides - low, mid, and high. It’s most reliable with north-west swells, but it can handle swells coming from the west and north as well. Swell sizes that work best here start at around 2 feet (0.6 meters), breaking over sandy bottoms. Surfers can expect both left and right waves, which are good for intermediate levels. There's some shelter from south winds at the western end, which can make for more pleasant conditions on windy days.

While the surf can be moderately consistent, it's often smaller compared to more exposed beach breaks. It's a good spot to take your time and practice your skills without feeling rushed or pressured by crowds. Enjoy the laid-back vibe of the area while you're out catching waves!
