Oyambre is a long beach break with several shifting peaks, set in a "Parc Natural" of rolling hills with plenty of open space. It breaks over sand and peels both left and right, and the water stays clean.
When It Works
The beach draws swell from west to north (W-N), with northwest (NW) the best match, and it's usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft. It's moderately consistent, though it tends to run smaller than the main exposures nearby.
Wind and Tide
Look for a south (S) offshore wind. The peaks work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call. The western end also picks up some shelter from southwest and west winds.
Local Tips
The shifting peaks suit intermediate surfers. It's rarely crowded, so expect plenty of room to spread out and find your own peak.
Access
Parking is easy, with roadside spots and a car park. Facilities are limited but cover the basics, with showers, camping, and a lifeguard on hand.
