PK's, short for Prince Kuhio Condos and named after the 19th-century Hawaiian surfing pioneer, is a coral-and-lava reef that peels both left and right. The wave starts outside with an approachable take-off, then travels and reforms on its way to an inside right that breaks close to the seawall.
When It Works
The reef draws swell from southwest through southeast, with a southeast (SE) swell the best match and the one that sends that outside take-off churning left. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft and is moderately consistent, so expect worthwhile windows rather than surf every day.
Wind and Tide
Look for a northeast (NE) offshore wind to clean it up. The reef can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
PK's suits intermediate surfers. The lineup is reliably busy, with groms trading the inside while local rippers sit deep on the outside peak. Right next door, Center's is a hollow, shallow, experts-only peak best left to those who know it.

There is a car park at the spot, plus restrooms and showers on hand.
