Overview
Pacheedat Beach, also known as the Gordon rivermouth, is a quality beachbreak near Port Renfrew. The waves break over a mix of boulders and sand, and the banks serve up both lefts and rights.
When It Works
Pacheedat draws swell from the southwest through west, with southwest the best direction, and it really comes alive on a strong west swell. It's usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft, so there's a decent working window once a solid swell fills in.
Wind and Tide
Look for northeast offshore wind to groom the faces. The beach works on mid and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The waves here suit intermediate surfers well.
Access
Once you're in Port Renfrew, cross the bridge to reach Port San Juan and Pacheedat Beach.
