Overview
Parea Left is a left-hand reef break sitting on the exposed southern pass of Parea, peeling over live coral.
When It Works
Swell reaches the pass from northeast through east-southeast to south (NE-ESE-S), and a south swell is the best match. The break is usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for a northwest offshore wind, and keep an eye out for glassy, windless days as well. The reef can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
Lineup pressure stays low here, so there's usually room to find your own waves when the pass turns on.
Access
Camping is the facility on offer at the spot. Staying at the Huahinè Beach Club keeps you within easy reach of the pass.
