Overview
Pin Rolland is a left-hand point that wraps around the Pointe du Marégau, peeling into a long, extensive wall with the odd short, hollow section along the way.
When It Works
The point draws swell from southwest through southeast (SW-SE), with southwest swell the best match. It breaks over sand and is usable from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft. Consistency is the catch here: it can be inconsistent and only comes together when the swell lines up, so it pays to keep an eye out for those windows.
Wind and Tide
Look for northeast offshore wind to groom it. The point can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This one suits intermediate surfers. Expect a busy lineup when it's breaking.
