Surf: Another similar spot to Playa el Rey, with endless peaks and no crowds is found at Playa Matapalo. Similar but even less crowds! Better on higher tides. Environment: Confusion possible with Matapalo facing Pavones on Osa Peninsula. Several hotels on beach, cheap accommodation.
