Overview
Playa Sector El Piure is a southwest-facing beachbreak that peels both left and right over sand. It sits on a wildly beautiful stretch of coast next to the striking Skeletor Rocks, one of six southwest-facing beaches along this shoreline.
When It Works
The beach comes alive on summer's peaky swells, firing best when a west swell lines up, though it will take anything from south to west (S-W). It's usable from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.5 m / 5 ft and stays moderately consistent, turning on often through the summer months.
Wind and Tide
A northeast offshore wind cleans it up nicely. The bank breaks across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide usually the better call.
Local Tips
This is a friendly, beginner-suited beachbreak, and the lineup stays quiet with few other surfers around.
