Overview
Playalinda is a long stretch of beachbreak tucked inside Canaveral National Seashore, right in the shadow of Kennedy Space Center. The sheer scale of the beach spreads the peaks out, and when it lines up it can get genuinely good. Waves break over sand and peel both left and right.
When It Works
Playalinda is a consistent beachbreak that draws swell from north through east-northeast to southeast (N-ENE-SE), with a northeast swell the best match. North swells in particular tend to bring the better days. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 3 m / 10 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for a southwest offshore wind. The beach can work through most of the tide, but a rising tide is generally the better call.
Local Tips
The mellow beachbreak peaks make this a friendly spot for beginners, and thanks to the size of the beach the lineup stays fairly quiet even when it's working. Keep an eye out for sharks and gators, and don't be surprised to share the sand with nudists or catch a rocket launch overhead.

There's a car park with paid parking, plus restrooms and showers on hand.
