Praia de Carapebus is a right-hand point that peels a ripable wall off a rocky point, breaking over a mix of uneven reef and sand.
When It Works
It draws swell from east through south, with east swell the best match. Carapebus is a consistent point, though it tends to run smaller than the neighbouring point at Praia Mole. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for west offshore wind. The point can work across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is an intermediate-friendly right, and you can expect a busy lineup when it's on. Around the tip of the point at Praia Mole sit more reef-anchored peaks that the locals covet.
