Most of the time, you'll find small waves here that might not be the most exciting, but they're okay for practice.

The waves here mainly break over sand and can provide some fun little peelers close to shore, particularly with a better peak in the northern corner. For the best results, you’ll want to catch the swell from the NorthEast or East. The spot can handle swell sizes starting at around 1 ft (0.3 m) and works best with a wind coming from the SouthEast. As for the tide, you can surf during low, mid, or high tide, so there’s a bit of flexibility if you want to get in the water. This spot is beginner-friendly, making it a suitable place for less experienced surfers to gain some confidence.

Keep in mind that Punta Arena can attract plenty of swimmers and a mix of surfcraft when conditions finally do line up. It’s a good idea to check the crowd situation before heading out. Also, if you're planning to surf here often, be prepared for the variations in quality since this place isn’t known for consistent surf.
