Overview
Punta Sabbioni is the main surf spot in the Venice area, with the bell tower of San Marco only a few kilometers away. Waves break left over sand, and you'll find several peaks spread along the long beach. Water quality here is decent.
When It Works
The spot draws swell from southeast through south, with southeast (SE) swell the best match. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for northwest (NW) offshore wind. It's best on low tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is a friendly spot for beginners, and the lineup tends to stay quiet.
Access
From Mestre, head north toward Lido di Jesolo and follow the signs south to the Cavallino ferry stop. You'll find free parking, including roadside spots.
