Puro Pinget is the standout spot in this corner of the coast, mixing beach and reef breaks that peel both left and right. The outer reef sits exposed to open swell, and when the southwest monsoon is blowing the lefts can run down the inside of the hammerhead peninsula and stay offshore. The bottom here is dead coral.
When It Works
The break is consistent and pulls in swell from southwest through north to northeast (SW-N-NE), with northwest (NW) swell the best match. It works from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft, so there's a wide window between small clean days and bigger sessions.
Wind and Tide
Look for southeast (SE) offshore wind to groom the faces. The spot works through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This one suits intermediate surfers. The lineup stays quiet, and nearby Vigan has a small, friendly surfing community that's happy to wait around for the right swells.
