Overview
Racca Point is a left-hand point that peels a long, good-quality wall as it wraps around the cliff. It breaks over an uneven, shallow reef, and sits on the Sardinian coast near the village of Capitana.
When It Works
The point comes alive when swell wraps in from the east and southeast, drawing from east to south (E-S) with southeast (SE) the best direction. Those E and SE pulses feed the long left that bends around the cliff. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft, so you have a decent working range once the swell lines up.
Wind and Tide
Look for an east (E) offshore wind to groom the wall. It can work through most of the tide, across low, mid, and high, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is a rewarding wave for intermediate surfers, though the shallow rock bottom, rips, and urchins are worth respecting. Expect a busier lineup when a good southeast swell is running.
Access
You'll find the point near Capitana, on the coastal route between Cagliari and Villasimius. Turn right just before the little village of Is Mortorius, in front of a campground. There's camping on hand, plus free roadside parking.
