Riazor Orzán surf guide

Riazor Orzán is a popular surf spot located near the city of A Coruña. This beach is easily accessible and draws in crowds throughout the year, making it a well-known destination for both locals and visitors. The area features good beach facilities, so you’ll have what you need for a surf session, although parking can be tricky, especially in summer.

The surf here is a beachbreak that is generally considered to be average in quality. It works best at low to mid tide and is moderately consistent. You’ll find that it handles swell sizes up to around 3 feet (about 1 meter), with the best conditions coming from the NorthWest swell direction. Waves can break both left and right, which makes it a bit more interesting. If you're planning a session, keep in mind that the best winds are from the SouthWest, and this spot is more suited for intermediate surfers looking to enjoy some fun waves.

With its sandy bottom, Riazor Orzán has the potential for some decent rides, but be prepared for it to get crowded, especially on weekends and during the summer months. Make sure to check the surf report and go when conditions align for a better experience.
