Rivermouth Jetties is a black sand beachbreak on the stretch of coast approaching Cide, breaking over sand and offering both lefts and rights. Further along this coast, pointbreaks near Ayancik, Turkeli, Hardi and Cayustlu can pick up north swells too.
When It Works
The bank draws swell from northwest through northeast, with north the best direction. It's usable from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.2 m / 4 ft, so it comes to life on smaller, well-angled north swells.
Wind and Tide
Look for southeast offshore wind to clean up the faces. It can work through low, mid, and high tide, though a rising tide is generally the better call.
Local Tips
With its forgiving sand bottom and gentle beachbreak peaks, this is a solid spot for beginners finding their feet.
