Sereweh surf guide

Sereweh is located on the exposed southeastern tip of Lombok and can be a decent surf spot when conditions align. Accessing Sereweh is not the simplest; it requires a long boat ride, especially if it's not the right season. If you’re looking to hit some waves here, it's best to plan around the wet season when small Southeast swells and North winds come into play.

The waves at Sereweh are mainly right-hand reef breaks that handle swell sizes starting from around 2 feet (0.6 meters) and up. Ideal conditions happen with a South swell direction, but it can also work with Southeast and Southwest swells. The spot is usually best when the tide is either low, mid, or high, making it versatile depending on the day's conditions. However, it’s worth noting that this spot is suited for expert surfers due to the tricky reef and changing nature of the waves.

While Sereweh can produce some fun performance ramps, especially when the conditions are right, it’s crucial to keep an eye on the swell. If you don't see any whitewash on the reefs, Lombok is likely flat and not worth the hassle. Just remember that if you're heading to Sereweh, it's mostly about timing and knowing when to make the long trek.
