Shi'inzi is a powerful beachbreak that peels both left and right over a sandy bottom. It has real punch, and on the bigger days when there is finally enough swell to break, it tends to close out.
When It Works
The break draws swell from southwest to southeast (SW-SE) and is usable from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.5 m / 5 ft. It can be somewhat inconsistent, so it won't be working every day, but the windows are there when the swell lines up.
Wind and Tide
Look for a west (W) offshore wind to clean up the faces. It can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The sandy bottom and mellow setup make this a friendly option for beginners. Expect a quiet lineup, with plenty of room to find your own peaks.
