Sidi-Rbat is a beachbreak sitting right next to the mouth of the Oued Massa, on a stretch of coast that doubles as one of Morocco's better bird watching areas thanks to the Souss Massa National Park. Waves peel both left and right over sand, so there is usually a choice of direction once a bank switches on.
When It Works
The beach picks up swell from southwest to north, and it is usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft. It is worth a check on a small swell, when the sandbanks have enough water moving over them without the beach closing out.
Wind and Tide
Look for an east offshore wind, and get there early: the wind often ruins it by the middle of the day. The tide is not a dealbreaker here, since it can work through low, mid, and high, though a rising tide is the better call.
Local Tips
Intermediate surfers will get the most out of it, with enough shape in the lefts and rights to work with once the banks line up.
